CONSTRUCTION OF SOCIAL REALITY: AN ANALYSIS OF THE EXPERIENCES OF RESETTLED ADJARIAN MIGRANTS IN TSALKA MUNICIPALITY
Abstract
Social reality under conditions of migration constitutes a dynamic process shaped by the interaction of individual experiences, social relations, and cultural practices, which is particularly evident in multiethnic environments. The present study aims to analyze the socio-cultural experiences of individuals resettled from Adjara to the Tsalka municipality and to examine the process of social reality construction, with particular emphasis on how resettled individuals organize their everyday lives and establish their place within a new social context. The research is based on a qualitative ethnographic methodology. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that resettled individuals actively participate in shaping social reality, as reflected in the reconstruction of everyday life, the dynamic transformation of identity, the gradual formation of social relations, and the adaptation of cultural practices. The study reveals that migrants simultaneously preserve and transform elements of their cultural heritage, resulting in the formation of a hybrid social space. The research confirms that integration is not a linear process but is shaped by structural conditions, contributing to migration and social constructionist theory and providing a practical basis for improving migration policy.
