26 MAY CELEBRATION IN 1922 OF INVADED GEORGIA

Abstract

The paper refers to the celebration of the fourth anniversary (May, 26 in 1921) of the republic of Georgia's national state independence  day (1918-1921) after one year of the occupation (February 25, 1921) of the Democratic Republic of Georgia by Soviet imperialist Russia.


   Reader can detailed know what kind of situation was in Georgian after one year of Soviet time in Georgia. The writer has talked about people’s protests against of this regime.  The protest was resigned among the Georgians after one year. Based on the critical study of primary sources, memoir literature and new archival documents and relatively complete.  The mentioned issue is covered by the renew and objective analysis.


   The main result of the research is that on the basis of the critical study of many unknown and unpublished new archival documents and special (memoir) literature that have entered the scientific circulation, one of the outstanding pages of the centuries-long heroic chronicle of the struggle for the independence of the Georgian nation, the important 1921-1924 of the Georgian people, has been studied and analyzed in Georgian historiography.The struggle for the restoration of the national state independence of Georgia is well described.


   In the paper we can read about the situation in Caucasus in 1922.  This paper  has  aspects of history and political situation too.
