SEVERAL ASPECTS OF PRIDON KHALVASHI'S DRAMATURGY
Abstract
The creative work of Pridon Khalvashi is a hymn to the love of the motherland and devotion to its people. From the very beginning, the writer perceived the historical past, present, and future of his nation and region, successfully transforming them into artistic imagery. A correct perception of reality, an interest in socio-civic issues, and a boundless adoration for the motherland—coupled with a contrastingly sensory depiction of existence, a profound ability to penetrate the spiritual world of the modern human, and poetic mastery—have defined the uniqueness of his creative work. Dramaturgy holds a prominent place in Pridon Khalvashi’s body of work, resonating with the historical fate of his native region. The writer’s plays are the primary focus of our research, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of his creative output. The aim of the present work is to research Pridon Khalvashi’s dramaturgy, through the examples of the plays: ,,The Weeping of the Vine’’, ,,Saved Immortality’’, and ,,The Call of Khikhani’. As for the research methodology, we have defined the method of primary data collection and its subsequent analysis, as well as the historical method, which enabled us to study past events and provide an objective evaluation of them. Additionally, the comparative method, in conjunction with the historical method, allowed us to cross-reference and compare various materials. In certain instances, we applied the observation method, which facilitated the acquisition of data, and in this regard, we utilized the so-called descriptive research.
