WAR REFLECTION IN THE “THREE WARS“ BY NANA AKOBIDZE
Abstract
War always was one of the most important issues of literature, but a century ago, in the 20s of the 20th century representatives of “The Lost Generation” made the problem conceptual. After the World War the First a lot of authors inspired by the construction of Hertrud Stein dedicated to the war, at least, one book; among them: Frencis Scott Fitzgerald, Erich Maria Remark, Richard Aldington, Georgians favorite author Ernest Hemingway. The novel, “Farewell, Weapons!” is the classical text of modernism and one of the manifests of peace. The masterpiece of Hemingway, the short-story “The Butterfly and The Tank” shows the war in different perspective – a butterfly can`t defeat a tank, but it fights and becomes stronger. On the other hand, just “the butterfly” (enigma of refined substance) is a victim of violence and cruelty of all wars.
Nowadays is too important feminine/“The Butterfly” perspective, unknown details and nuances.
Key Words: War Paradigm, Trauma Memory, Feminine Narrative.
