ALL-ENCOMPASSING "WHISPER" - A WAY TO PERCEIVE THE MYSTERIOUS WORLD
(INGA BAKHTADZE'S "NIGHT WHISPER")
Abstract
The article discusses “Night Whisper,” a novella by the Georgian writer and art critic Inga Bakhtadze, using interdisciplinary methods, in particular, textual analysis, hermeneutics, and comparative approaches. The work explores the symbolism of the female voice, the meaning of whispering as a means of perceiving the mysterious world, and the mechanism of the internal transformation of a man. The research discusses the structure of Bakhtadze’s narrative, character relationships, and the social, cultural, and psychological contexts revealed in the text.
Through hermeneutic analysis, the novel's central motifs are linked to Jung's archetypal theory, especially to the expressions of feminine energy, wisdom, and the collective unconscious. Particular attention is paid to the concept of the anima as the feminine beginning, which appears as a driving force for internal transformation in male consciousness.
Inga Bakhtadze's novella "Night Whisper" is a symbolic way of connecting with the mysterious world, in which the whisper reflects the voice of a woman, suppressed and hidden, but at the same time a powerful inner force. In the text, the metaphor of the whisper is connected to the theme of the sea, which reflects the emotional turmoil and unconscious waves occurring within a person.
The study shows that whispering in Bakhtadze's text is not only a form of communication but also a conduit for spiritual adventures that help characters transcend their own identity and the boundaries of existence. The work is of interest to literary scholars interested in gender narratives, the study of mysterious symbolism, and the representation of the female voice in literature.
