The poetic work of young poet from Batumi– Nika (Nikoloz) Putkaradze captivates the reader's attention from many perspectives. These include: depth of content, philosophical nature, high artistic quality, merger of emotional and intellectual foundations, linguistic experiments and innovations.
The aim of the work is to delineate the contours of Nika Putkaradze's poetic handwriting, reveal the main characteristics of his style, and define the primary research directions. Along with the thematic depth of his poetry, special attention is given to the peculiarities of artistic language, as well as the analysis of emotional-expressive elements and other means of influencing the reader.
The empirical material for the study consists of the poet’s collections:’’Poetry Drips from Desires” (2011),Guests of the Rain” (2013),“Flowers of Chirukhi” (2015), and “Enigmas of Silence” (2022).
The research methodology combines literary, stylistic, linguopoetic, and comparative analysis. In addition to traditional philological methods, modern literary theoretical approaches are applied to determine the poet’s potential affiliation with a specific literary movement.
The study’s findings indicate that Nika Phutkaradze’s poetry is characterized by philosophical depth and rich content. His poetic style is defined by metaphorical imagery, a complex system of symbols, and the animation of nature. For the poet, nature represents a metaphysical space where transcendent truth is concealed. The poeticization of neutral words and terminology from various fields represents a linguistic experiment, which also includes occasional verb formations. The multifaceted nature of his poetic perception is evident in the synesthetic quality of his metaphors, which merge different sensory experiences-, auditory, tactile, and more.
A particularly significant innovation is the incorporation of drawings and QR codes in his poetry collections, allowing readers to listen to music composed for the poems or watch related video clips. The synthesis of poetry, painting, music, and cinematography is entirely innovative and can be regarded as a marker of digimodernism.
Nika Phutkaradze’s multi-layered poetic discourse, with its idealization of nature, synesthetic metaphors, linguistic experiments, and unique fusion of poetry with other art forms, provides a foundation for analysis from various perspectives.
