Abstract

Before the testological-codicological study of the manuscript book, it is necessary to assess its condition, the an archeographic description, a codicological study,  a textological study are made  and finally whether it is possible to use the manuscript safely for the research. From this point of view, H-1727, Epistle - Athanasius, Patriarch of Rome is interesting. The manuscript dates back to the 12th century. A multidisciplinary study of the manuscript revealed several important details: It is interesting who was Athanasius Patriarch of Rome, when did he work? The archeographer of the manuscript attributes the text to the apocryphal genre, It's interesting, why? It is interesting leaves are tied to each other and the structure. Different binding techniques have been preserved on the manuscript: cross, folded, folded diagonally. In the places of tying together, there are traces of compression, which proves that, probably, the split leaves were strengthened later.
