Abstract

The understanding of the reception of the Renaissance in the history of Georgian literature research is somewhat different. In this paper, we will consider E. Khintibidze, S. Sigua and R. Siradze's essay and we will make a synthetic analysis, present the similarities and differences between these works. The Renaissance definition of "Vefkhsitkaosni" has become a kind of prize stone for researchers, the difference of opinion is quite understandable, because the work was created in an era in which Georgia had great proximity to Eastern culture. It is in this context that we will try to reconcile the opinions expressed by the researchers in the paper.
